Rainbow Flowers

Hi there!

The theme for this week’s Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is ‘rainbow’. I used Tim Holtz/Sizzix dies to cut the flowers and then stuck them to a distressed background (which has a generous coating of distress mica spray – gotta love that sparkle!). Sentiment is by Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous.

Egg-stra Special!

Happy Saturday! I used Lawn Fawn’s Happy Hatchlings die set for this Easter card. Yes, I confess it took a long time to do the inlaid die cutting for those dotty eggs! Even did a bit of controlled ink smooshing which is not one of my usual techniques but I think you’ll be seeing it more in future!!

I found this sentiment in my Easter stamp box – bought it years ago from Archivers. Ah, such a wonderful store and very sorely missed!

I’m entering this into the current Color Throwdown challenge.

Thanks

The weather has been glorious today and I’ve been gardening – which means no time in my craft room! So here’s another card that I did for my SSS Flickr guest spot. I used a gorgeous new stamp from Penny Black and a die from Simon Says Stamp to create my very first hidden sentiment card.

The current challenge (‘something new’) runs until 13 April – hope you can play along!

I love You-calyptus

Hi there!

Isn’t the latest release from My Favorite Things adorable? I HAD to buy the koala set -so very cute. Thanks again for the super-fast shipping, Seven Hills Crafts!

I kept thinking of the first wild koala that my friends and I saw on magnetic Island 15 (!!) years ago. It was super exciting, but fair to say that he looked slightly less happy than these MFT cuties!

Anyway, I used papers from My Mind’s Eye and followed the design for this week’s MFT sketch challenge.
