30 Day Christmas Card Challenge 2024 – Day 26

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Martin’s 30 Day Christmas Card Challenge this month.

The theme of Day 26’s challenge is ‘elf hustle’.

Is it me or are the themes getting more difficult as the challenge nears the end?

I was really stuck – I don’t do elves at all and I couldn’t even recall a set that might have one! By chance when looking for something else, I spotted an elf face on an Ellen Hutson set called Holiday Characters! Phew! I kept it very simple as this is not a card I will send, although I will donate it at some point. The image is paired with the Memory Box Large Twirling Snowflake.

30 Day Christmas Card Challenge 2024 – Day 23

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Martin’s 30 Day Christmas Card Challenge this month.

The challenge for Day 23 is another sketch and I had so much fun with this one!

The large joy bauble is a Hero Arts bargain which I backed with some amazing Tonic Studios speciality paper.

The smaller baubles were created with The Greetery’s Curio Attic Ornaments die set and coloured with distress ink.

The sentiment is by My Favorite Things and the background folder is by Spellbinders.

30 Day Christmas Card Challenge 2024 – Day 22

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Martin’s 30 Day Christmas Card Challenge this month.

Day 22’s challenge is another colour combo – midnight blue, pale lavender and silver. One of my favourite combos!

I decided that Spellbinders’ flowery tree die set which was their July 2023  Small Die of the Month kit would be absolutely perfect. I’ve loved this set since the moment I saw it and even created my own take of it for Christmas in July that year.

The background is also by Spellbinders.

30 Day Christmas Card Challenge 2024 – Day 21

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Martin’s 30 Day Christmas Card Challenge this month.

The theme of Day 21’s challenge is ‘first snowflake’.

Perfect excuse for me to pull out the Birch Press Design Crochet Snowflake stamp set! This time I paired gold mirror card and whit glitter card plus fabulous sparkly bling that I have had forever!

The background is a Spellbinders embossing folder and the sentiment is by Sizzix.

30 Day Christmas Card Challenge 2024 – Day 20

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Martin’s 30 Day Christmas Card Challenge this month.

The theme of Day 202’s challenge is ‘ugly sweater’.

Well, it may be difficult to believe but I don’t have any ugly sweaters in my crafty collection! So this was a real struggle to me! So I interpreted the challenge as ‘Christmas jumper’ instead! I pulled out the very old Hero Arts/Sizzix stamp/die combo that I finally got on ebay last year I think. I love the reindeers in their little Christmas jumpers – plus one of them looks like he’s jumping so I’ve got my own little play on words.

I don’t usually do scenes that cover a whole card but I bought this fabulous Sizzix stencil set a few weeks ago – I love how quickly stencilled scenes come together.

The sentiment is by from a very old Hero Arts wood-mounted stamp set. I stamped it from Cloud 9 Silver ink – unfortunately it dried with a rather mottled effect but I felt it went well with the card.

30 Day Christmas Card Challenge 2024 – Day 19

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Martin’s 30 Day Christmas Card Challenge this month.

The theme of Day 19’s challenge is ‘wrapped in wonder’.

Lots of ideas for this one but I really wanted to use my new Nellie Snellen Presents embossing folder and stencil – so I did! I used new Pinkfresh inks and I have to confess that I was a little disappointed with the pink which turned out MUCH brighter than I would usually choose.

The silver parcels are cut from the Memory Box Pretty Presents die set and the sentiment is an older set by Poppystamps.
