Day 14 – 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2021

Hi everyone!

As Tracey McNeely isn’t running her 25 Days of Christmas Tags event this year, I have created my own event using 25 days from Tracey’s event posts over the last decade, as I explained in this post.

Day 14’s inspiration is Day 22, 2014. I was totally inspired by Emily’s fun tag and knew I had to pull out my Paper Smooches Snow Dudes stamp set again. I love how this challenge inspires me to use my older supplies that I still love so much!

Day 13 – 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2021

Hi everyone!

As Tracey McNeely isn’t running her 25 Days of Christmas Tags event this year, I have created my own event using 25 days from Tracey’s event posts over the last decade, as I explained in this post.

Day 13’s inspiration is Day 13, 2016. I loved all the layers in Chrissy’s tag so here’s my take using the fabulous Winter’s Wispy Trees by the Stamp Market.

Day 12 – 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2021

Hi everyone!

As Tracey McNeely isn’t running her 25 Days of Christmas Tags event this year, I have created my own event using 25 days from Tracey’s event posts over the last decade, as I explained in this post.

Day 12’s inspiration is Day 8, 2018. You can see the card I made here! I loved that inspiration so much, I had to buy that Uniko set as soon as it was back in stock! I really wanted to used that Uniko set, but as I was inspired by Jane’s tag this time round, I decided to use a tree by Julie Hickey Designs instead.

Day 11 – 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2021

Hi everyone!

As Tracey McNeely isn’t running her 25 Days of Christmas Tags event this year, I have created my own event using 25 days from Tracey’s event posts over the last decade, as I explained in this post.

Day 11’s inspiration is Day 12, 2016.

This was another tough one as I don’t have many images that are similar to the style used for the inspiration tags. While I was looking at Tracey’s tag, I remembered my old Basic Grey festive sets and used the Santa image from one of those sets – I stamped it in a very light ink and then went over the lines using my prisma pencils.

Primary Poinsettia

Hello again everyone!

Next up today is my entry for two challenges –  this week’s Color Throwdown challenge, which has a combo of primary colours this week, and the sketch from the CAS Colours and Sketches challenge.

To ground my images a little, I started by the pretty Poppystamps Swirly Curl Border outline on my card base. Then I made three blended distress ink panels using ‘dirtier’ shades of the challenge colours (Stormy Sky, Fossilised Amber and Fired Brick) and then cut them with the poinsettia dies from the Spellbinders Christmas Blooms set. I also cut foliage from white glitter card and then adhered them all to my card. I added a few gems for poinsettia centres and a Simon Says Stamp sentiment to complete my card.
