Thank you

Simply thanks

Happy Saturday everyone!

I treated myself to an order from Simply Graphic on New Year’s Eve and it arrived this morning! Super fast shipping from France!

I just had to use my new dies today and here’s one of the cards I made! I used the colour combo from this week’s Colour Throwdown challenge (grey, ivory and black) and added a sentiment die from Mama Elephant.

I’m also entering this into the current Time Out challenge (thankful).

Repurposing fractile leaves

Hello!

I really think that the Fractile Leaves stamp set is my favourite Stamptember set so far this year. I could not wait to ink it up and start playing when it landed on my doormat yesterday!

As I was playing, I was thinking about how I could use the set in different ways – I find Simon Says Stamp sets lend themselves to repurposing very nicely – I’ve already shared some cards where I used the Artsy Flower Parts in a different way – here and here.

Anyway, for this card, I thought one leaf could be easily converted into a petal – so here is my Fractile Flower card. Embossed in silver and coloured as ever with my Twinkling H2Os!

I couldn’t resist using one of my new Simon Says Stamp background stamps as well – I embossed it in white and then lightly smooshed on some distress ink.

I’m entering this into the current SSS Flickr challenge – ‘stamp it’.

Dots and Stripes and a star for good measure!

Hi Everyone!

The theme for the current Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge is ‘dots and/or stripes’. I used a couple of Simon Stays Stamp dies and some remnants from rainbow backgrounds that I created a few weeks ago as part of Online Card Classes’ Rainbow Maker class. I just can’t decide whether I prefer it with or without a sentiment (also Simon’s). What do you think?

Rainbow Maker, Day 3 cards

Hi everyone!

I’m still playing catch up with Online Card Classes’ Rainbow Maker class. Day 3 was all about rainbow die cutting and I was totally intrigued by May Park’s ‘poke-out die-cutting’ technique as I love inlaid die cutting, but it does take a very long time. I must admit I was a bit sceptical but this card came together so quickly! Definitely one to use again and again.

All dies and stamps are by Hero Arts.

Tropical giraffes

Hi everyone!

After watching the Online Card Classes Rainbow Maker videos for today, I was itching to get ink smooshing, but I also wanted to do a card for this week’s Less is More challenge (tropical colours). So I tweaked my rainbow a bit (but that’s ok, right?) and came up with a smooshed background using Altenew’s inks. I used the gorgeous giraffe dies from Poppystamps and a couple of dies from Memory Box and Simon Says Stamp to complete my card, which I’m also entering into this week’s Casology challenge (safari).
