Spring and Easter

Happy Mother’s Day!

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to share one of the cards I gave to my lovely mum today!

I stamped the Pretty Pink Posh Spring Wreath in Antique Linen Distress Oxide and embossed it with clear powder.

I coloured it in and then die cut the wreath.  I used an Echo Park stencil to apply a few subtle hearts to the background before adhering the wreath.

Finally I added an Avery Elle sentiment… and a few small gems (AFTER I had taken these photos).

I’m entering this into the current CAS Colours and Sketches challenge.

Whittle Rabbit

Happy Saturday!

I love the Poppystamps ‘whittle’ series – super cute dies with a really good price point! So I was so pleased when I saw the latest spring/Easter release when I was at Simon Says Create last weekend.

The Whittle Rabbit went into my basket straight away… along with a few other dies of course!

For today’s card, I paired the rabbit with the new Tulip Collage die from Simon Says Stamp and also added a grass die cut from Lawn Fawn and a butterfly die also from SSS.

I’m entering this into the current Color Throwdown challenge (red, yellow, light green and white), the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge (cute) and the Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge (spring).

Welcome Spring

Hello everyone!

It’s time for a new challenge over at AAA Cards and this fortnight we have a very straightforward challenge!!

We’d like you to use just one image only (if you want to add a sentiment, that is fine too). The optional twist is ‘spring’ and our sponsor is Craftyscrappers.

I was placing an order with The Ton recently and I was aghast to realise that I had never used the gorgeous cherry blossom stamp set that I bought from them a couple of years ago. So, as soon as I saw the optional twist, I knew I had to use it!

I stamped and coloured the image using my Twinkling H2O paints and added a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp to finish off my card.

My teammates have created some beautiful designs over at AAA Cards and this fortnight our guest designer is Aleksa who has a beautiful Instagram feed.

Looking forward to seeing all the entries!

Hello Spring Blossoms

Hi everyone!

There’s a feeling of spring in the air today – I can see buds appearing across the garden!

So I felt it was right to pull out my Pretty Pink Posh Cherry Blossoms stamps and dies for my take on the current Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I coloured the flowers with Twinkly H2Os and Prismacolour pencils and arranged them on a rectangle of Basic Grey paper.

The sentiment is by Simon Says Stamp.

Spring Basket

Hello there!

The theme over at the Allsorts challenge this week is ‘Spring Flowers and I immediately thought of my large ‘Birch Bouquet’ stamp from Stampendous. It’s another one of those big images that I hadn’t used, but I happily inked it up and stamped away! It also stamped beautifully!

Once I had coloured all the flowers, I cut around the image using a Penny Black die and layered it onto some coloured card stock – it’s actually lighter in real life than it appears here! Honest!

To finish off the card, I added a sentiment from an older Simon Says Stamp set.

Dear Daffodils

Hello everyone!

Happy Friyay! As sad as I am that the festive season is over, I really enjoyed making a spring birthday card today.

As soon as I saw the colour palette for the first Color Throwdown Challenge (yellow, green, black and white), I knew I had to do something flowery! This coincided with the arrival of my Clearly Besotted order and I could not wait to inck up the Spring Daffodils stamp. I coloured them using my Twinkling H2O paints and then adhered the image to a smooshed background I created some time ago using distress oxide inks. And I finally used the My Favorite Things label die which I have had for ages but which I haven’t used….

I added a Brushed Sentiment also by Clearly Besotted and a few Nuvo glitter drops to finish off my card.
