Day 20 – 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2018

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags event again this year.

The sponsor for Day 20 was CAS-ual Fridays. I don’t have many of their stamps but when I saw that a lot of the DT had used a mistletoe set to create their tags, I immediately thought of my Avery Elle/Simon Says Stamp Stamptember 2017 Merry Mistletoe collaboration set. I decided to use Vicki Dutcher’s fabulous glitter tags as my inspiration.

I stamped and coloured the mistletoe using my Twinkling H2O paints and then fussy cut around the sprig. I added four strips of glitter card and stamped a sentiment from the CAS-ual Fridays Christmas Sparkle set to finish off my tag.

Day 19 – 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2018

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags event again this year.

The sponsor for Day 19 was Jillybean Soup. I do have some of their embellishments and stamps, but nothing suitable for a festive tag, so I decided to use Hero Arts stamps for my take on Lindsay M-P’s pretty tag.

I embossed the tree stamp from the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero November 2017 kit with some Stampendous glitter embossing powder that I’ve had forever! I then used the die to partially cut the tree and cut around the top of the tree by hand as the die cuts a hole at the top, which I didn’t want.

I lightly blended some distress ink over part of the tag base and the used a Sizzix embossing folder to create the background texture. I added some Stickles to the embossed snowflakes and a sentiment from Hero Arts to finish off my tag.

Day 18 – 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2018

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags event again this year.

The sponsor for Day 18 was Neat & Tangled. I absolutely loved how Miriam Pranter used felt for her tag and decided to give it a go. As I was thinking about my felt, I thought I would have to colour some white felt as I didn’t think I had a green felt…. then when I actually looked at my felt pile, I found an amazing green glitter felt that I reckon I bought about 10 years ago. Perfect! This is the reason why I find it so hard to part with my crafty stuff, people. Ultimately I will find a use for it!!

Like Miriam, I used the Neat & Tangled Scandinavian Prints dies for the tree and a couple of dies to create the background and base. The base is actually a lovely shade of dark purple, but I just couldn’t capture it on my camera!

Day 17 – 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2018

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags event again this year.

The sponsor for Day 17 was Avery Elle. I love Avery Elle stamps and dies and as soon as I saw Carol Mayne’s cute tags using the Quirky Christmas set I knew I has to use them as my inspiration! The set is one of my favourite purchases this year!

I used a couple of shades of red and blue distress oxide inks for the trees. Totally different colours for me, but that’s part of the why I love this challenge so much – it totally forces me beyond my comfort zone!

I stamped a few snowflakes from the set and added a greeting before adhering the trees. Another tag done!

Day 16 – 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2018

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags event again this year.

The sponsor for Day 16 was Ellen Hutson. I loved the design and colour palette that Kelly Griglione chose for her fabulous tags and decided to base my tag on hers.

I created my background with the Ellen Hutson Strings die and then added some handmade paper tree die cuts that I’ve had FOREVER! I embellished them with some Nuvo glitter drops and then added a sentiment from the retired Ellen Hutson Time to Sparkle set.

Day 15 – 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2018

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags event again this year.

The sponsor for Day 15 was Stamplorations. The inspiration tags were amazing and I was particularly drawn to the yellow and red tag created by Shery Russ – it is totally different from my usual colour palettes, and not traditionally Christmas – I think that’s why I just had to use it as my inspiration!

I don’t have many of their products yet, so I used a Simon Says Stamp sentiment die, some Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous stamps and a Cuttlebug embossing folder for my take.

Thanks for stopping by!
