Sending some happy

Hello Everyone!

Today I’m playing along in the Just Add Ink sketch challenge.

I just received the Memory Box Paisley Bloom Leaf Arch die set which I’ve admired from afar for quite a while and when I saw the sketch, I thought it would be perfect. I created a few inky panels with my distress inks first which I used to die cut all the images.

Once I’d assembled my wreath, I added a few dew drops to the flower centres and a Concord & 9th sentiment to complete my card.

Hello Wispy Blooms!

Hello everyone!

Today I’m playing along in the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I have coveted Birch Press Design’s Wispy Blooms Contour Layers die set from the moment I first saw it in February! Unfortunately, I wasn’t quick enough when Bumbleberry’s got the new release, so I was waiting for restocks….. until I had a coupon for Simon Says Stamp and my willpower cracked and it ended up in my basket. It arrived yesterday and I could not wait to play with it!

For this card, I coloured three blooms with distress oxide inks and adhered them onto my card base, on top of the three strips I created with Memory Box’s Grape Vine Border. The sentiment is by Hero Arts, stamped in my favourite Frayed Burlap archival ink.

Daisy Chain Background

Hello Everyone!

Two long-awaited crafty parcels arrived this morning, so I dove into them straightaway! Here’s the first card I made using the combo from this week’s Color Throwdown challenge.

I used the beautiful daisy chain background die by Pinkfresh Studio. This die does not cut an edge, which was perfect for me as I could make a UK card size by simply adding a row or two at the bottom of the first die cut area.

I tried out Jennifer McGuire’s faux inlaid die cutting technique for the mustard petals – but I didn’t think it work properly so I just adhered pieces of grey card rather than embossing them first. Now they are in situ, I think I can see a bit of a difference… can you?

I added an old Concord & 9th sentiment, a few pearls and a few butterflies by Simon Says Stamp to complete my card.

Glorious Gazebo

Happy Friyay Everyone!

Today’s card is for the Inkspirational challenge which has a theme of ‘watercolour’.

I’ve loved this wood-mounted Art Impressions Gazebo Window for a while and when I saw it was on sale a few weeks ago, I snapped it up! I stamped it with my new go-to ink (Frayed Burlap Archival ) and coloured it with my Twinkling H2O paints.

After I trimmed down the image, I decided I wanted a little something extra, but not too overpowering as I wanted that beautiful image to take centre stage! So I cut the beautiful Poppystamps Massa Leaf Frame and adhered it to my card base before adding the image on top.

With love be bold blooms

Hello Everyone!

Today I’m playing along with sketch challenge at the CAS on Friday challenge.

Of course, this sketch had me reaching for my Spellbinders’ Be Bold Blooms die set again. I love how versatile it is! I cut the images from Bazzill Basics cardstock and adhered them on top of my ink-blended square on my card base. A Simply Graphic bow was added to bring all the stems together.

I added a strip of patterned paper and a Clearly Besotted sentiment to finish off my card.

Autumn is a second spring…

Hello Everyone!

Today I’m playing along in the Just Add Ink inspiration challenge.

While spring is in full force here in my part of the Northern Hemisphere, friends downunder are starting to see the first signs of autumn so the challenge celebrates autumn and its colours! I so enjoyed making an autumn card right now, especially as the inspiration photo was so incredibly vibrant.

I still had my Bazzill Basics cardstock out so I decided to use that to create a very colourful autumnal card using Spellbinders’ Mini Fall Blooms. I also used the flower centres from the Be Bold Blooms set.  This card went on quite a journey! I started off with quite a limited colour palette before expanding it significantly!!

To complete my card, I added a sentiment from Clearly Besotted – it seems so apt for this card in particular!
