Backyard floral stems

Hello everyone!

Today I’m playing along in the Freshly Made Sketches challenge .

I ordered a few dies from Bumbleberrys last week as soon as they received the latest release from the Memory Box family. I really loved the new Backyard Floral Stems die and it was so much fun to play with today. I added it to a background that I had embossed with a bargain Spellbinders folder that I picked up in their sale a few weeks ago.

Cherished 2023

Hello everyone!

Today I’m sharing some cards I made with products kindly sent to me by Penny Black, showcasing the wonderful floral dies from their Cherished 2023 release.

First up is this Thinking of you card, made with a dear friend in mind. I coloured the three daisies from the Delicate Daisies die set (51-763) with distress inks and then tucked them in the centre of that fabulously bold YOU die (51-760)! The stamped ‘thinking of’ is from part of a stamp from the Thinking of You stamp set (30-825).

I then turned my attention to the Finesse die (51-769). Again I coloured it with distress inks and added a bit of glitter. While I was waiting for that to dry, I turned my attention to my card base. I adhered the largest die cut from the Framed set (51-622) and then masked it off before stamping the Letter Background (40-780) in the centre. I then adhered the die cut on top and added a sentiment from the Without Limits mini stamp set (30-949).

Next up is the Floral Twirl die (51-768) – isn’t that a pretty name! And it is certainly a pretty die! Again coloured with distress inks – and I added some leaves from the An Impression die set (51-735). The sentiment from the Delightful Day stamp set (30-955).

Finally, I wanted to share the card I made on Saturday using the Burst of Blooms die (51-764) – click here to read about that one.

A challenging combo

Happy Monday everyone!

Today I’m playing along with the Color Throwdown ! Now I have to confess that the palette was very challenging to me. I’m not sure why… maybe the graphic… maybe just the combo… I really struggled with the aqua as I usually choose a lighter shade when using that colour… but in the end, I stopped overthinking it and just used Peacock Feathers which looked close to the colour in the graphic!

I didn’t like the card I made yesterday so I redid something more ‘me’ after work this evening – I’m glad the challenge doesn’t close until 11pm UK time! I used a vase stamp by Stampin’ Up, stems from Simply Graphic and a frame by Reverse Confetti. The sentiment is by My Favorite Things.

Burst of Blooms

Hello everyone!

Today I’m playing along in the Freshly Made Sketches challenge with products kindly sent to me by Penny Black.

Penny Black launched their latest release, Cherished 2023, earlier this week – a fabulous collection of florals and cute stamps and I could not wait to play with the amazing dies! First up from me is the beautiful Burst of Blooms die (51-764). Such a pretty die with so many possibilities! In the end, I coloured it with Distress Oxide inks and added a few pearls for the centres.

The sentiment is from the Ever Thanks set (30-813)

Colourful happy thoughts

Hello everyone!

Today I’m playing along in the Freshly Made Sketches challenge .

It’s been almost a year since I played with the Stamp Market’s Add Some Greenery dies so today I chose the smaller one, some coloured paper and got cutting!

To complete my card, I added a sentiment from a Simon Says Stamp set and a few gems.

Vases of sunshine and love

Happy Friyay everyone!

Today I’m playing along with the Color Throwdown ! What a beautiful palette this week – yellow, light pink, cream and green!

I just bought the new Altenew Vases set – they arrived yesterday so I decided to use them straightaway.

I combined them with some foliage dies and the fabulous mid-century frame die which I really don’t use enough! The sentiment is also by Altenew.
