Congratulations

Splattered Congrats!

Hi everyone!

This is a super simple card inspired by the current challenge over at the Freshly Made Sketches blog!

I splattered Distress Oxide inks onto three strips of card which I then cut up and stuck to a base card. I then added a glittered Simon Says Stamp die cut and some stars to finish it off!

I’m also entering this into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge (Splatter it) and the Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge (Splatter it!).

Celebrate with Balloons!

Hi there!

It’s the Casology challenge blog’s fifth anniversary this week and to celebrate, they have chosen the cue word ‘balloon’.

Here’s my take: I practiced my no lines water colouring using a Hero Arts stamp and my Twinkling H2O paints. I wasn’t too sure when to stop colouring, but I knew that I didn’t want to create a super-bright card – so I ended up with a very soft image instead, but I think it works.

I added a sentiment from Altenew and did some very gentle ink smooshing on the background, but you can’t really see that in my photo.

Thanks for stopping by!

Celebrate red, white and blue!

Hi everyone!

I used a gorgeous die from Poppystamps together with a Stampers Anonymous/Tim Holtz sentiment for today’s card. I must confess that the inlaid die cutting took quite a while – lots of tiny pieces to stick down!

This card is for a number of challenges: Less Is More (use your flag’s colours – I used the colours from the Union Jack), Case this sketch and Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge (use red, white and/or blue).

Happy Owl

Hi everyone!

I love participating in sketch challenges as they often push me beyond my CAS comfort zone… and I also find that I can use up some of my very neglected patterned paper mountain at the same time!

Today’s card is for the current My Favorite Things sketch challenge – I’ve paired MFT stamps with dies from Simon Says Stamp and Memory Box on this card. And I’ve been able to use some of my patterned paper (from My Mind’s Eye). Woo hoo indeed!

Thanks for looking!

You rock!

Hi everyone!

The current AAA Cards challenge is embossing – could be dry embossing, heat embossing or both! I chose to do both!

I covered a Cuttlebug embossing folder with ink to create the embossed white star background which I then cut using a start Lawn Fawn die. I then covered the stars with some Nuvo Aqua Glimmer Gloss for a bit of shimmer.

I added a sentiment from Krumspring stamps which I had heat embossed using sliver embossing powder.

Thanks for looking!

Congrats, Grad

Happy Friday! I have to say I think I love today’s lesson in the Online Card Classes Sparkle and Shine workshop the best so far!

And I love my Nuvo glitter paste which I bought ages ago but only jut tried today! I used it with a stencil made from a Lawn Fawn die to create a special frame on this card.

All stamps are by Hero Arts.

I’m entering this card into the current Casology challenge (commencement) and also the Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge (Frame it).
