Christmas, New Year and Winter

January 2022 Get Cracking on Christmas

Hello everyone!

Yes, it does feel rather early to be making Christmas cards, but I couldn’t resist playing along with Jenn Shurkus’s ‘Get Cracking on Christmas’ and the CAS Christmas challenge today. I still haven’t put away some of the Christmas dies that I didn’t get round to using last Christmas, including this gorgeous Bottlebrush Tree dies by Spellbinders. I used it during Christmas in July, but it was sadly neglected later in the year!

The die set includes two spindly trees and my card came together really quickly once I decided to alter the size of the trees! I simply snipped off some branches and cut a thinner trunk to create those smaller trees!

To complete my card, I added a sentiment by Mama Elephant.

Jeu de l’Avent 2021 – 24

Hello everyone!

My last post of the day is for my final Simply Graphic challenge card – made for Day 24 of their advent challenge,

Another colour combo challenge! The palette was kraft, pink and red and so I pulled out my SG dies and got busy! The sentiment is from Mama Elephant as I don’t have any Simply Graphic sentiments.

Jeu de l’Avent 2021 – 14

Hello everyone!

Next up today is the card I made for Day 14 of Simply Graphic’s advent challenge!

A really interesting challenge this one – to include other material in the card! When I first started crafting, I bought a LOT of embellishments online and I still have quite a few of them, so I decided that my material would be metal as I wanted to include a metal Christmas tree. As I was getting said embellishment, I spotted an old packet of material from Junkitz (remember them??!!) so added that into my design. I chose a couple of SG die cuts as well and added a Penny Black sentiment to complete my take.

Jeu de l’Avent 2021 – 02

Hello everyone!

Today I’m sharing the final four cards I made for Simply Graphic’s advent challenge. I completed 12 out of 24 challenges in the end and it became surprisingly difficult because I don’t have THAT many SG Christmas supplies. Anyway, first up today is the card I made for Day 2.

It was the first colour combo challenge – light grey, dark grey, red, black and white. I used my favourite SG Christmas tree and Bazzill Bling cardstock plus a little bit of glitter cardstock. The sentiment is from Mama Elephant as I don’t have any Simply Graphic sentiments.

Thanks for stopping by!
