30 Day Christmas Card Challenge 2024 – Day 8

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Martin’s 30 Day Christmas Card Challenge this month.

The theme of Day 8’s challenge is ‘candy cane wishes’.

I hunted through my supplies, but much like gingerbread, I have very limited choices for candy canes, just a couple of rather small dies. As I’m playing catch up this weekend, rather than use those, I chose to use some candy-cane inspired patterned paper plus Tim Holtz dies and a favourite embossing folder from last year.

30 Day Christmas Card Challenge 2024 – Day 7

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Martin’s 30 Day Christmas Card Challenge this month.

The theme of today’s challenge is ‘deck the wreath’.

After some prevarication, I ended up creating a wreath with Spellbinders pine branch dies, bedecked with lots of fabulous dew drops for my take on the theme.

The embossing folder is also by Spellbinders and the sentiment is by Creative Expressions.

30 Day Christmas Card Challenge 2024 – Day 5

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Martin’s 30 Day Christmas Card Challenge this month.

Today’s challenge is a sketch with lots of layers. I ‘cheated’ a bit and used ink blending instead of one layer!

I used an older Hero Arts cling stamp and my favourite Sizzix tree embossing folder for my take.

The sentiment is by The Ton Stamps.

30 Day Christmas Card Challenge 2024 – Day 4

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Martin’s 30 Day Christmas Card Challenge this month.

Today’s challenge is  a colour combo – red, yellow and blue. I always find it difficult to create with this combination, but this was a little easier as the blue was defined as ‘electric blue’ that looked closer to Tumbled Glass than a primary shade to my eye!

I used dies from Honey Bee Stamps’ Build a Snowman set, an October Afternoon background stamp and a favourite Ellen Hutson heart die.

The sentiment is by The Stamp Market.

30 Day Christmas Card Challenge 2024 – Day 3

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Martin’s 30 Day Christmas Card Challenge this month.

Today’s challenge is ‘Sleigh Ride’. I have quite a few sleigh dies which I looked at using but then I unearthed this fabulous Memory Box horse and sleigh die that I snapped up in a sale earlier this year!

I cut the horse from felt and coloured the metal part of the sleigh with a silver deco pen. I adhered the images to a base that I’d covered with Bo Bunny paper and added a few trees, a Creative Expressions sentiment and a few snowflakes to complete my card.
