Get Cracking on Christmas January 2026

Hello everyone!!

This year I plan to play along with Jenn Shurkus’s Get Cracking on Christmas on the third Thursday of each month. It feels a bit too soon to be the third Thursday of January already doesn’t it? But here we are! My first Christmas card of 2026!

I love Christmas tree dies although I do try to be mindful and take a breath before grabbing any new tree as soon as it’s released! But I HAD to have The Stamp Market’s Layered Tree die set. I used it a few times last year but I really wanted to create my version of a beautiful card that The Stamp Market shared as inspiration on their site. I picked up the Rounded Window Delight coverplate die in a Black Friday sale but didn’t get round to using it in December – today was my chance!

I tested a few tree designs and ended up using three layers from the smaller tree – The Stamp Market didn’t use the smallest layer in her design and I followed suit.

My twist on the inspiration (apart from the colours of course) is the background – I adhered the windows coverplate and trees to a panel that I cut with the Waffle Flower Crafts Sparkles Panel die.

No sentiment on this because I couldn’t bear the idea of covering up anything on the card!!

Chocolate Flowers

Hi everyone!!

Last year, I started seeing this amazing square embossing folder on Instagram. After doing some digging, I discovered that it only seemed to be available as part of the Altenew Chocolate Flowers kit…. which was out of stock everywhere. But good things come to those who wait… or wait and persevere! I managed to grab this as soon as Seven Hills got it back in stock and used a voucher to pay for most of it. It’s a bit crazy to buy an entire kit mainly for the embossing folder isn’t it?

After all that, it just sat in my new box! I got it in June, people! I’m quite ashamed of myself! Anyway, today was the day to rid myself of that shame and actually use the kit! And I used the whole thing, not just the folder!

I don’t buy many Altenew products nowadays (I think I overdid things back when layering stamps were all the rage!) so I was keen to try their stencil/die combo to compare with Pinkfresh. It wasn’t quite as easy as Pinkfresh for me and I didn’t line the die up properly… you can see a few white lines on my image, but I don’t think they’re too obvious? Next time I think I’ll die cut first because the die doesn’t add any additional etching onto the images.

I arranged the die cuts in a wreath on the embossed background and added a few die cut gold accents and a Poppystamps sentiment to complete my card.

Joyful Day

Hello everyone!!

I picked up the Pinkfresh Studio Joyful Day product suite in a Black Friday sale. After passing on a beautiful leafy Stamptember collaboration back in 2023 (the one that got away!), I seem to have acquired MANY of their leafy products in 2025!

When I saw how the four stencils worked, I wasn’t too sure how best to use them… then I saw an amazing card on the Pinkfresh website  The designer used a darker shade at the opposite end of each section of leaf – something that I would never have thought of doing but which gave an amazing impression of depth!

I chose another combo from my new inspiration book and got blending. It took a little while and I need a bit more practice, but I like how the leaves turned out! I added a few sequins and a sentiment from the Fluttering Butterflies set to complete my card.

This is my second project that I’m entering into the January Pinkfresh Studio monthly challenge. The theme for the month is ‘Year in Review’ – and I have chosen the June 2025 theme of Rainbow Reverie!

CAS – the butterfly and the branch

Happy Monday everyone!!

My first crafty order of 2026 arrived this morning and I’m happy to say that I’ve already used one of the Simply Graphic dies on today’s card.

I’ve coveted the notebook pages die set for a while and so I happily grabbed he set when I had a discount code – they provide a great anchor for images! I cut one image from some patterned paper and added some Pumice Stone ink around the edges. I added an older Simply Graphic glittery die cut plus a pretty butterfly from the Memory Box Exquisite butterflies set.

The sentiment is by Sugar Pea.

Stylised Florals with a deco twist

Hi everyone!!

Another day, another Pinkfresh card! Today’s new and unused product suite of choice is the Stylized Florals die and stencil product suite.

I love Pinkfresh’s die/stencils combos – they make it super easy to create beautiful ink-blended die cuts as the stencilling/blending is done before the die cutting where those fabulous little details are also cut into the image.

I chose a fabulous colour palette from my colour book, pulled a lot of Pinkfresh inks and got blending! Before I cut the images I added some gold splatters. This set makes creating the floral swags very easy because once the die cutting is completed, you just have to adhere the images onto two branches that provide the base layer. No agonising over the configuration! Yay!

The background was made using the Pinkfresh Gatsby die which I got free with this order… and which may have contributed to me placing the order!!

The sentiment is by Creative Expressions.

Bitty Botanicals

Hello everyone!!

While I love making CAS cards, I also love acquiring lots of pretty flowery products and just couldn’t resist the Bitty Botanicals suite by The Greetery. Well I tried to resist it, but just ended up buying it bit by bit over six months!! It’s such a clever little set where the greenery is stamped and then the flowers are stencilled.

I was originally going to create a CAS card with the little flowers but I just couldn’t cut the background image when I finished the stamping and stencilling! Next time!!

I added the Diamond Ribbons die cut to the image and adhered a few glittery ribbons and a Pinkfresh Studio sentiment to complete my card.
